In the not-so-distant future, cafes will be entirely automated by robots. The cafes will be aptly named "RoboCafes" and all of our food will be served to us via a mechanical crane that selects our orders and places them on conveyor belts. At the busiest times of the day, these mechanical cranes are expected to work their best at producing quality orders correct every time!

Welcome to our RoboCafe. You will have to play the part of the computer operating the crane in this game as you rush to grab the orders requested and drop them off in the conveyor belt! Be careful not to drop the orders or place the wrong ones on the belt though: it comes out of your paycheck!

Details
The first hour of the competition was spent in a massive brainstorming session as to what we should create our game about and within that session, RoboCafe was born. We got to work on the engine right away, starting off with designing the cafe. Once the cafe's layout was complete, we had two major tasks at hand: the crane arm and the gameplay. The crane arm itself involved some trigonometry to get it to work, and in the end the crane itself operates quite smoothly.

With the crane working, we started work on the gameplay which involved creating the conveyor belts and creating basic collision detection with the crane's end and the food itself. In the end we had enough time to create two levels, but a third would have put us over the time limit so we dedicated the remainder of the competition to designing minigames. Our original goal was to include 10 minigames in the minigames arena, but time only ended up permitting us to do four.
